Thank you for choosing Prosser Memorial Hospital as your health care provider. We recognize that complex hospital billing processes and payment methods are confusing for most people.

We would like to share Prosser Memorial Hospital financial policies and billing procedures with you. We hope you find this information helpful.

ONLINE BILL PAY
As an added convenience to our customers, we offer the option of paying your medical bill(s) online with ModernPayments®. Please click here to do so.

MEDICARE

If you are covered by Medicare, we will file your claim for you. If you have a Medicare supplemental policy, upon our receipt of payment from Medicare, we will bill your supplemental carrier as well.

MEDICAID

If you are currently covered by  Washington Medicaid upon verification of your eligibility, we will submit your claim to the appropriate program.

HMO/PPO INSURANCE AND THIRD PARTY INDEMNITY INSURANCE

Prosser Memorial Hospital is contracted with most major medical plans. We will submit a claim for payment in accordance with the managed care contract. You are responsible for any out-of-pocket deductible or co-payment (co-pay) amounts.

Prosser Memorial Hospital will make every effort to verify insurance eligibility and benefits. We will also attempt to obtain authorization in accordance with your insurance company's policies. However, as the insured, you are ultimately responsible for knowing your benefits.

Please feel free to contact Prosser Memorial Hospital before receiving non-emergent services to ensure Prosser Memorial Hospital is contracted and whether or not prior authorization is required.

PATIENT RESPONSIBLE FOR BALANCE

Prosser Memorial Hospital offers payment programs for account balances which are the responsibility of the patient (either from the outset or after insurance(s) have made payment). Individuals are required to pay in full within 30 days.

If you require more than 30 days to pay your medical bill, contact our Financial Counselor to arrange payment terms at (509) 786-6645.

PROMPT PAY DISCOUNT

Individuals may choose to receive a 10% Prompt Pay Discount for outstanding self pay accounts if the balance is paid within 30 days. Payment can be made by personal check or approved MasterCard, Visa, or Discover.

PROSSER MEMORIAL HOSPITAL FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Prosser Memorial Hospital has always provided financial assistance for those persons who do not qualify for State Medical Assistance and still need help paying their medical bills.

After reviewing the patient's ability to pay (by completing our Charity Application), if it is determined that the patient's/guarantor's income is within the Federal Poverty Guidelines, financial assistance may be provided. To make certain that applicable resources are offered to these patients, Prosser Memorial Hospital considers each request individually. This will include a review of federal tax returns, current pay stub verification, and a denial of any third party benefits, if applicable.
